A new trick

Notice how sometimes we interact with dogs and babies in the same way? For example, when wanting Riley to follow me in to the next room, I usually end up saying something like, "C'mon Riley. Come here. Follow Mommy." This is approximately what I might say to Milo, my parents' dog. My post title is another example.

Now lest someone attempts to create a fuss because I am referencing Riley in a negative way, a la Angelina Jolie and her reference to Shiloh as a blob, I am not saying that Riley is a dog. Just so everyone's clear.

Anyhoo... Riley learned this lovely sound-making device yesterday. Extremely cute as always.

Some people would say that comparing a human to a dog is an insult to dogs.

"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Yes, but since I'm a dog lover, I can get away with it. Now, if I were a cat lover, that would be a different story....
